We’re looking for someone who fosters a culture of collaboration and is ready to tackle emerging challenges that require deep knowledge of NSW planning framework and environmental policy. We work closely with stakeholders to achieve consistent strategic approaches to sustainable planning outcomes. As a Senior Program Officer, you’ll: Develop and implement operational policy and guidance related to environmental planning to improve conservation outcomes Manage programs that deliver successful planning and conservation outcomes Contribute to organisational input into land use planning matters Provide strategic advice on complex statutory and environmental policy Interpret legislative reforms and drive implementation of required changes Detect and navigate emerging challenges and deliver creative, practical solutions Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal teams to achieve shared goals, strategic outcomes and consistency across the department Build strong partnerships with local and state government, industry, and community stakeholders to enhance collaboration, cooperation and negotiation.
