Exciting Opportunity: Youth Worker at PCYC NSW
PCYC NSW is dedicated to creating safer communities for young people. We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our team in Lake Macquarie. The role is part-time, 30 hours per week, 8am-4pm, with a competitive salary of $35.67 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate group sessions focused on employability and life skills
* Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to program participants
* Collaborate with employers and community organizations to generate employment opportunities
* Assist in recruitment efforts and program promotion
* Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support throughout the program duration
* Maintain case notes, records and administrative information in accordance with program standards
* Attend weekly program meetings to contribute toward evaluation and improvement processes
* Ensure compliance with funder metrics, performance measurements and budgetary provisions
* Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and enhance program impact
* Report program performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or relevant qualification
* Experience in program facilitation with young people
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage and motivate youth
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Team-oriented approach with proven collaboration
* Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals
