The role of Assistant Project Manager offers a unique opportunity to receive world-class training in the United States. Successful applicants will undertake 18-24 months of long-term training and placement on U.S. Virginia Class nuclear-powered submarines.
* Key responsibilities include ensuring production facilities work is accomplished on schedule, overseeing administrative support and ship/sub maintenance and repair production support, and working closely with leadership to develop and execute annual operational plans.
* Applicants must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a defence clearance, prior experience within the defence sector, and proven ability to plan/manage/execute complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
* A relevant tertiary qualification OR a degree in engineering is also required.
During deployment, you will receive on-the-job training combined with instructor-led classroom training. This training program and work are carried out in accordance with U.S. Navy processes and procedures.
