Job Summary
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our clients' operations across Australia and New Zealand meet all State and Federal trade compliance regulations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry codes governing the importation, storage, labelling, and supply of chemicals (hazardous/dangerous goods), biochemicals, biologicals, radioactives, and other controlled products.
* Manage import and export permits, end-user statements, and associated documentation, liaising with customs brokers, shipping agents, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely clearance of products.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and update SAP material master data for all regulated products; ensure compliance queues and permits are in place prior to purchasing or release.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies.
* Monitor and process compliance-related mailboxes, customer notifications, and questionnaires.
* Prepare reports and maintain accurate records for authorities, ensuring licences and permits are renewed ahead of expiry.
* Support the development and continuous improvement of compliance processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
* Provide support to customs brokers, supply chain, and internal stakeholders by delivering timely and accurate compliance documentation.
* Assist in the creation, review, and updating of SOPs and procedures.
* Contribute to innovation by identifying digital solutions to streamline compliance processes.
