Who you are

You're a passionate and motivated academic in psychology with a strong commitment to high‐quality, student‐centred teaching and a growing research profile. You bring contemporary teaching approaches that engage learners and support positive outcomes, and you're keen to contribute to research, collaboration and impact.

You're confident building relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners, and communicate with clarity and professionalism. Adaptable and collaborative, you enjoy balancing teaching, research and service, including supporting and supervising students.

Above all, you're driven to make a meaningful contribution through your teaching, your research and your engagement with the broader community, while continuing to grow your academic career in a supportive environment.

What you'll do

You'll design and deliver engaging, student‐centred teaching, supervise honours and postgraduate students, and contribute to curriculum development and quality outcomes across programmes.

Alongside your teaching, you'll actively build your research profile—producing outputs, collaborating with colleagues and pursuing opportunities for research funding and impact. You'll also contribute to service and engagement activities within the School, the University and the broader community.

In your first 6–12 months, you'll establish yourself as an effective educator, contribute to research activity and build strong working relationships across the School and research community. Over time, you'll have opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities in areas such as program development, accreditation and research initiatives, supporting both your career progression and the ongoing success of the discipline.

What will help you succeed

* Experience in teaching psychology and/or provision of clinical supervision in higher education, with a student‐centred and engaging approach
* Evidence of research activity, or the potential to develop a strong research profile
* Ability to supervise, or willingness to develop capability in supervising, honours and postgraduate students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues and partners
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to teaching, research and service activities

If you're passionate about teaching, growing your research impact and contributing to a collaborative academic community, this role offers a strong platform to build your career.
