Job Title: Financial Modeller and Analyst
We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team as a Financial Modeller and Analyst. This role will support the development of urgent costings for a range of new policy proposals, providing critical financial modelling and analysis to inform government decision-making.
The Role:
* Prepare detailed costings to support new policy proposals.
* Work closely with policy areas to ensure costings are accurate, robust and defensible.
* Apply your knowledge of the commonwealth budget process to support budget submissions and briefing material.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the department and other agencies to deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Provide financial modelling and advice on balance sheet proposals where required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience preparing costings and financial models to support new policy proposals.
* Strong knowledge of the commonwealth budget process.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience working with balance sheet proposals is desirable.
Requirements:
* Baseline security clearance is essential.
* Ability to commence at short notice will be highly regarded.
