The Opportunity Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Asset Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Lithgow, NSW. Reporting to the Strategy & Projects Manager, you will be responsible for for leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of asset management systems, maintenance programs and lifecycle planning for Council’s water and wastewater infrastructure. More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to): Develop, implement and continuously improve the Water and Wastewater Asset Management Plans in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and Strategic Asset Management Plan requirements. Maintain and enhance asset management systems (including CMMS and associated platforms). Assist in the preparation of business cases and justification for asset renewals, upgrades and service level improvements. Implement condition assessment, defect reporting and asset performance monitoring frameworks. Provide lifecycle modelling, risk-based prioritisation and asset investment recommendations. Support development and maintenance of the long-term capital improvement program. Contribute to Long Term Financial Planning (LTFP) in collaboration with Finance and senior management. Develop and maintain asset performance dashboards, KPIs and benchmarking metrics aligned to industry standards and best practice. Ensure asset renewals align with service levels, demand forecasts and risk mitigation strategies. About you The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: Class C Driver’s Licence Tertiary qualification in Asset Management, Engineering or related discipline (or significant equivalent experience) Demonstrated experience in water and wastewater asset management Experience with CMMS or asset management software systems Experience using GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS) to locate, update, and analyse asset information, and to support maintenance planning and field operations. Knowledge of NSW local government water utility regulatory framework Demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity In addition, an ideal candidate would have experience in Strategic asset planning, lifecycle modelling and capital forecasting, GIS and data analytics capability, preparing regulatory and statutory returns, document control practices and EDMS platforms.
