**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**:
Infringement Review Officers are responsible for determining outcomes to written infringement review objections submitted by customers, carrying out investigations on each case, preparing high quality responses in writing and providing advice or further explanation over the phone. The role is guided by the City of Melbourne's Infringement Review Guidelines and the branch's policies and procedures.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to prepare high quality responses to complex customer correspondence.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment with a flexible and positive approach to change, and personal learning and development.
- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to deal with customers at all levels in a tactful, professional and courteous manner.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and the ability to remain calm, objective and in control when dealing with customer issues and concerns.
**In addition the Infringement Review Officer will ideally possess**
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework relating to the issue and enforcement of infringement notices.
- Experience in exercising appropriate discretion with regards to relevant Acts and legislation, Local Laws, or proven ability to quickly develop the knowledge required.
