About the Role:
* Location: North Adelaide, South Australia
* Employment Type: Full-time
* Overtime: Available
* Start date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and train apprentices and workshop staff
* Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers
* Operate CNC and manual machines in line with drawings and instructions
* Accurately complete job cards and time records
* Maintain tools, gauges, and measuring equipment in good condition
* Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly
* Assist with general maintenance and workshop duties as required
* Follow all safety procedures and workplace standards
* Work various shifts to meet operational needs
* Support business growth through involvement in new projects and client solutions
* Continually upskill and stay current with client and industry requirements
What You Need:
* Trade Certificate in machining or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience with manual and CNC machining in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to program and operate metalworking machinery
* Strong understanding of steel grades and machining processes
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Forklift and loader licences, or willingness to obtain
* Physically fit and capable of hands‐on work in a manufacturing environment
* Australian working rights
