The role…
As a Casual Commis Chef in the Hotel's Kitchen Brigade you are responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the Kitchen, working in a team, producing quality dishes and a high level of service to guests while adhering to the Kitchen policies and procedures.

What you’ll be doing…
* Food production in accordance with requirements whilst ensuring correct methods of cooking, consistency in product and quality
* Ensure the overall cleanliness and the health and safety & adhere to strcit food safety guidelines, follow GIA procedures for food waste.
* Responsible for proper storage, labelling and use of all food supplies to prevent unnecessary spoilage and to maintain cost control
* Assist in the supervision of junior kitchen staff by providing instruction of duties
* Be a positive team member with a \"Can Do\" attitude

About you…
Qualifications and Experience:

* You have a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
* Experience in all section preferable, including banquets, buffet and al la carte
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with great attention to detail
* Vibrant personality, professional and always well-presented
* A positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work within a team environment
* You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulations
* Commitment to allergen protocols!
* Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
* Must hold current Australian work rights to be able to work a full-time roster, visa sponsorship not available.
