About the team – The Sport Wellbeing and Engagement Branch’s leads the high performance systems’ approach to the wellbeing through the delivery of targeted programs, services and partnerships that enables the system to win well. The Branch prioritises the development and delivery of integrated, holistic services and programs that are designed to improve an athletes’ ability to effectively navigate their high performance pathway and to enable them to achieve sustained success as a person and in their athletic pursuits

About the role – In this role you will apply your expert knowledge and understanding of Australia's high performance system and the bespoke wellbeing needs of para-athletes to identify, develop or advise on system-wide opportunities and solutions to enhance the wellbeing experience of para-athletes. You will work closely with staff across the Sport Wellbeing and Engagement Branch and other internal and externals partners to collaborate on the implementation of priorities under the HP2032+ Win Well Strategy, including the Para Uplift.

About you – We are looking for a compassionate, adaptable, strategic thinker and collaborator who has extensive contemporary knowledge of para sport, social welfare issues impacting para-athletes and the high performance pathways for para-athlete within the Australian high-performance system.

The successful candidate will have:

* Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in areas such as: project and program management; strategy development; education; advocacy or related field.
* Demonstrated experience in successfully designing, implementing and evaluating professional development programs to increase technical knowledge and capability.
* Demonstrated understanding of Australia’s high performance sport system.
* Demonstrated contemporary knowledge of wellbeing, including social welfare issues, specific to para athletes within Australia’s high performance system.
* Demonstrated understanding of Classification and its role in Paralympic sport and specifically how this relates to wellbeing outcomes is preferable.
* Demonstrated success in engaging and managing relationships and working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes for targeted population groups.
* Demonstrated high level organisation skills.
* High level of written and communication skills.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position applicants are required to be Australian citizens only and must be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.
As part of the Commonwealth Child Safety Framework the ASC is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation and leading the way in Child Safety across the sports sector. This position requires a Working with Vulnerable/Children People check to obtain employment.
