Handyman / Gardener – Bendigo Advertiser
Full-Time – Permanent.
38 hours per week (Mon–Fri 7:00 am-3:30 pm).
Location: Singleton Hospital.
Pay: $***** – $***** per hour, plus superannuation and salary packaging.
About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the facility grounds, including mowing, weeding, pruning, shaping of trees and shrubs, and removal of green waste.
The position also provides support to other site trades in the general maintenance of the facility as required.
What We're Looking For
A valid NSW driver's licence
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Basic computer skills
Experience performing routine maintenance tasks
Handyman skills, including minor repairs and grounds work
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Willingness to be a part of an after-hours on-call roster
Gardening experience
Training & Support
Comprehensive orientation to the facility
Extensive training on gardening and plant equipment
Staff health promotion and safety induction
Ongoing support from the Grounds and Maintenance team
Key Responsibilities
Maintain all grounds areas including lawns, gardens, trees, and shrubs
Carry out mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, and general garden care
Manage removal of green waste
Support trades staff with general maintenance tasks across the facility
Safely operate a range of mechanical gardening equipment
Follow all WHS guidelines and safe work practices

Additional Information
This position is full-time; however, part-time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
Eligibility: Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, or New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
