The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Manager to join our team. This is a rare chance to combine your passion and knowledge with your technical skills whilst progressing your career.
Key responsibilities
Major duties and responsibilities of Fleet Manager:
* Organises and control the operations fleet of Vehicles to transport goods and passengers.
* Plan, organise and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organisational requirements.
* Direct activities of staff performing repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
* Analyse expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services.
* Recommend or authorise capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment or vehicles in order to increase efficiency and service.
* Prepare management recommendations, such as proposed fee and tariff increases or schedule changes.
* Organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment.
* Responsible for scheduling transport and delivery times, allocating resources, organising vehicle maintenance and repairs, and developing a relationship with customers, receiving orders and bookings, implementing transporting schedules.
* Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality.
* Arranging collection and delivery of vehicles and goods.
* Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports.
* Coordinating activities associates with the arrival and departure.
Requirements –
* Diploma with 1 to 3 years full time or equivalent part time previous experience in a similar role.
* Licence to drive medium to heavy vehicles.
* Able to work Independently, as well as with a team.
* Good organisational and communication skills.
* Excellent communicator and analytical thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
* High level of flexibility and a positive approach to the challenging demands of high-growth outcome.
* Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia will be preferred.
