Nursing duties in all aspects; reception, surgery and general nursing roles when required.

We are looking for someone who enjoys their work and who is focused, organised and able to lead the team through training and building on the positive team culture. We want someone who is interested in further development of their nursing skills, and we will support further education for relevant courses or seminars. The ideal candidate will promote our values and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of service.
The Successful Applicant Will
Have a minimum of 4 years working as a Veterinary Nurse (ideally 5+).
Preferably possess a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher qualification.
Have excellent communication and time management skills.
Have flexibility to meet changing business needs and priorities.
Tasks That Will Be Assessed Are
* Holding animals to allow examination and treatment by our veterinarians
* Cleaning and sterilising examination tables and surgical/veterinary equipment
* Preparing instruments and assisting the veterinarian during procedures and surgery
* Assisting our veterinary surgeons with the administration of anaesthetics and oxygen during surgical procedure
* Monitoring animals during post-operative recovery
* Administering medications to animals
* Maintaining stock control and records
* Providing animal care advice and assisting with animal care education
* Performing basic diagnostic laboratory tests
* Assisting with reception duties, payments, and general clerical work
Our clinic is open from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8.30 am to 1.00 pm. Hours worked are Monday to Friday as a 38‐hour week as per our rostered shifts plus one Saturday per month as per the roster.
