About the role
As an IT Manager, you will oversee the performance, security, and functionality of our IT systems and networks. Your responsibilities will include :
* System maintenance & upgrades – Managing servers, networks, and software to ensure smooth operation.
* Cyber security – Implementing and maintaining cyber security policies, including regular backups and disaster recovery tests.
* Technical support – Providing IT support to employees, troubleshooting issues, and optimising system performance.
* IT strategy & development – Collaborating with leadership to align IT strategy with business objectives.
* Compliance & reporting – Preparing IT reports and ensuring adherence to IT policies.
What we’re looking for
We are keen to hear from candidates with the following qualifications, experience, and skills :
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred).
* Proven experience as a system administrator, network administrator, or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and security protocols.
* Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Police clearance and defence clearance (required / willing to obtain).
* Eligibility to work in Australia is mandatory.
* Experience with SQL, information security management, and cyber security.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, Video Conferencing).
* Knowledge of IT infrastructure projects, system rollouts, and vendor management.
* Familiarity with professional services IT environments.
Key responsibilities
* Infrastructure & system management – Support IT infrastructure, ensure system backups, and oversee Windows system management.
* Security & compliance – Maintain cybersecurity policies, monitor system integrity, and enforce IT compliance.
* Technical support & training – Assist employees with IT issues, conduct staff training, and provide desktop support.
* IT strategy & development – Research and implement new technologies to improve efficiency.
* Vendor & supplier management – Manage IT assets, vendor relationships, and expense tracking.
* Documentation & reporting – Maintain IT documentation and asset registers and prepare monthly IT reports.
