Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia. LLD focuses on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention and community wellbeing programs in the regions which we operate while looking for opportunities to grow Lifeline’s services in geographical areas where they do not currently exist.

LLD encompasses Lifeline Centres in Hunter region, Central Coast, Eastern Suburbs-Bondi, New England North West, Northern NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria, Northern and Western Melbourne and Central Australia. Our specialised and targeted services operate nationally via a telehealth model.


About the position

Lifeline Direct (LLD) are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising and Partnerships Manager based in the Geelong/Victoria region. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate & Community Partnerships, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading major fundraising events, coordinating and maintaining corporate partnerships, cultivating philanthropic gifts from key donors, identifying and building opportunities with new and existing stakeholders throughout Western Melbourne and Geelong.

Drawing upon your proven experience, you will proactively identify donor opportunities working collaboratively with other stakeholders to convert these opportunities to improve the financial and community status of Lifeline. You will also be utilising your highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to represent Lifeline in a highly professional manner to all stakeholders including corporate partners, supporters and community.

You will be able to successfully develop and lead major fundraising events and provide support for community fundraising across Victoria. You will be experienced in report writing, maintaining accurate CRM records. You will build solid networks with business and community to expand Lifeline’s profile, source and maintain partnering relationships and provide knowledge of Lifeline’s service offerings.

About you

You are a motivated people-oriented individual who has proven success in fundraising, event management and maintaining corporate partnerships. Your business development and networking skills will be a strength, along with your ability to develop strategic approaches as well as hands-on delivery of activations


What the position requires

* Relevant qualifications and/or proven experience in Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy, Community fundraising events, Business Development related discipline
* Significant demonstrated experience working in a community fundraising, corporate partnerships or new business development
* Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
* Proven ability to develop fresh approaches and innovate as required to achieve Organisational goals
* Excellent administrative and reporting skills, including the use of MS Office programs and CRM management
* Experience in pitching to and maintaining relationships with decision makers within corporate and community organisations, as well as major gifts from individuals
* Highly developed critical thinking, research and analytical skills
* Proven project and events management skills that drive the successful implementation of projects
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
* High level of energy, initiative, and creativity
* Driver’s license and reliable transport as travel is required
