Job Description
The role of Therapeutic Specialist offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.
This position involves conducting assessments, developing and supervising therapeutic care plans, and providing ongoing practice support and training to team members.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or related field, and current registration with the relevant professional body.
Experience working with children and young people in Out-of-Home Care, particularly in Intensive Therapeutic Care settings, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Champion the CARE Principles and TCI system as the model for delivering Intensive Therapeutic Care in residential settings.
* Facilitate regular reflective practice and clinical support sessions for direct care staff.
* Develop and assist in the implementation of Behaviour Support Plans & Individual care plans of Children & Young People.
* Undertake various assessments of Children & Young People, as determined by their current and ongoing needs.
