Warehouse / Stock Controller - Permanent Part Time
New Zealand Panels Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of decorative interior panel products used by the joinery industry. We also supply high-pressure laminates, porcelain and engineered stone benchtop materials along with a range of substrates and stainless-steel products. Specified by New Zealand's top architects and designers, our products can be found in projects built by the country's leading residential and commercial builders.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse / Stock Controller to join our small, close-knit team in Nelson. This role is critical to ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfilment. You'll be hands-on in the warehouse while also taking ownership of stock control and replenishment planning.
This is a permanent part-time position – working a total of 15 hours per week, 3 hours per day from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately pick and pack customer orders in a timely manner
* Maintain stock accuracy through regular checks and inventory control processes
* Manage and optimise warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and workflow
* Proactively monitor stock levels and manage replenishment requirements
* Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock movements
* Communicate daily with the Account Manager and Site Manager regarding stock levels, issues, and operational updates
* Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and processes at all times

* Previous experience in a warehouse or stock control role preferred
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
* Basic, competent computer skills
