Job Summary

The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is a pivotal position within our team, focusing on delivering exceptional outcomes for water sector projects across AMP8 and AMP9.

Key responsibilities include:

* Mentoring junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Providing technical governance and oversight to ensure the highest quality of work.
* Collaborating with contractors and clients to achieve positive results.

Additional tasks include:

* Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Supervising production through AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
* Undertaking asset condition surveys and preparing reports.
* Contributing to P&IDs creation and ensuring quality assurance systems are followed.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A degree in mechanical engineering or a closely allied subject, ideally IMechE-accredited.
* Chartered engineer status or nearing chartership.
* A good understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
* Significant water industry experience.


Skills

* Pump selection and design of pumping systems.
* P&IDs creation.
* Specifications, reports, and technical documentation production.
* CDM Regulations compliance.
* Variety of contract procurement methods.
* Work management to time, cost, and quality criteria.
