Clinical Midwife - Outreach role at North West Hospital and Health Service.
Temporary full time role until 30 June 2029.

Role and responsibilities
The Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) Outreach Clinical Midwife delivers comprehensive evidenced-based midwifery care at an advanced level in partnership with predominantly First Nations women and their families.
You will deliver direct midwifery care in a continuity of care antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal model to women and their families.
Travelling to Mornington Island and/or Doomadgee communities, and may include travel to other facilities or units within the North West HHS.
Participate in an on-call roster as required.
Requirements
Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences including a current practising certificate as a Registered Midwife.
A postgraduate qualification or current enrolment in a postgraduate program in a relevant area is highly desirable.
On-call roster participation is required.
Class C Motor Vehicle Licence.
Pre-employment screening, including Criminal History checks, will be conducted.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
A probation period may apply.

Base salary ranges between $4,138.10 and $4,431.10 per fortnight (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) plus 35% Caseload Midwifery loading.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution.

Isolation bonus: 1 year – AUD$3,500; 2 years – AUD$10,500; 3rd year and each year after – AUD$7,000.
2 return airfares per year to nearest east coast provincial city (including spouse/dependents) with recreation leave; 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading/bonus.
Staff accommodation (if eligible) or private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.
