The Role
We are seeking a versatile communications professional to coordinate communications content planning, production and delivery in support of a busy project and organisational agenda. This position would suit an individual with skills across a range of multimedia communications channels and mediums, and experience in the coordination, planning and delivery of structured projects and/or campaigns.
Reporting to the National Manager – Communications, this role is an opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across a vibrant organisation in pursuit of our shared objectives.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Planning, development and production of multimedia content for publication across AUSVEG communications channels, including multi-platform case studies, podcasts, videos and social media content, to support communications project delivery.
* Coordinate quarterly production of Australian Grower magazine in collaboration with the National Manager – Communications, including creation of story lists, writing and commissioning content, editing, proofing and working with designers, printers and mail house to ensure timely production.
* Support strategy-development, planning and production of AUSVEG digital communications content, including weekly e-bulletin, social media and other digital communications as required.
* Support maintenance and updating of AUSVEG website and Knowledge Hub, ensuring timely uploading of content to meet project and organisational objectives.
* Work across the organisation to support communications objectives and activities, including researching, preparing and producing industry reports, briefings, speeches and submissions as required.
* Work with the AUSVEG Events and Partnerships Team to support delivery of the Hort Connections event, and develop partnerships and commercial opportunities leveraging communications channels, platforms and audience.
* Collation of monthly monitoring and evaluation data, and drafting of six-monthly milestone reports, to meet project requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in communications, media, or related discipline.
Experience:
* Significant experience in a related or relevant communications and/or media role.
* Coordinating and producing a variety of high-quality communications outputs across a range of multimedia channels.
* Working to deliver structured projects and associated deliverables, as well as ad-hoc tasks, to firm deadlines.
* Working within a team and autonomously in a dynamic stakeholder and operational environment.
* Managing multiple stakeholders, priorities and deadlines.
Skills:
* Excellent writing skills across different communications channels, with strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency with a range of multimedia communications tools, platforms and channels, including Mailchimp, social media, video editing and basic design programs (or capacity to upskill).
* The ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
* Clear and concise communicator with the ability to distil complex concepts and content into plain English.
* Some travel required for production and delivery of communications content and industry commitments.
