**Project Overview**
Operating in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the Rio Tinto Iron Ore Hope Downs 1 (HD1) project aims to ensure continuous production of operations by developing two new ore bodies: Bedded Hill Top (BHT) and Hope Downs 2 (HD2).
The works scope includes various tasks such as accommodation facilities for construction personnel (700 rooms), realignment of HD1 Mine Access Road, and realignment of the Great Northern Highway. The existing Mine Access Road (MAR) will be upgraded for short-term hauling of ore from HD2 to HD1. Additionally, a new road train haul road from HD2 to HD1 will be constructed.
**The Role**
We are seeking a proactive SHEQ Advisor to promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace, while also ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company quality standards. This role is pivotal in supporting operational teams on-site by advising, guiding, and auditing SHEQ practices and ensuring continuous improvement in SHEQ performance.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety **(Essential)**:
- Construction Safety Induction White Card **(Essential)**:
- 3+ years' demonstrated experience in a SHEQ position.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements.
- Workplace First Aid Certificate and valid CPR Certificate.
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- ICAM investigation or equivalent.
