Motor Mechanic - Full-time position at our automotive workshop GLD Autocare Pty Ltd trading as Gladstone Autocare, ABN:, located at Shed 1, 66 Yarroon Street, Gladstone Central, Qld-****. Minimum 38 hours a week.
Job Description
Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles.
Repair and replace worn and defective parts, reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed.
Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers.
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and check parts.
Check and repair suspensions, brakes, and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.
Reassemble engines and parts following repair.
Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed, placing stock (e.g., brakes, spark plugs, oil filters) in proper locations.
Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and machinery in good condition.
Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.
Fully adhere to regulations relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment through correct operation of all tools and specialized equipment.
Coordinate with other mechanics where teamwork is required.
Applicant Must Have
Completed at least Cert III in automotive and a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience as a motor mechanic. Experience in servicing electric and hybrid vehicles is desirable.
Must hold a current driver's license.
A desire to achieve results.
Annual Salary (depending on experience/skills) between $77,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.
