Role Overview
The Victorian Public Service is seeking a skilled Intelligence Officer to join their high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your analytical expertise and provide support and advice to the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
About the Role
The Intelligence Officer will be responsible for providing operational support for all intelligence-related matters conducted by the department. Key duties include:
* Collecting, collating, recording, analysing, and disseminating intelligence information to authorised parties in a timely manner.
* Preparing intelligence reports and briefings for senior management and providing advice on the results of intelligence gathering.
* Supporting departmental staff and external agencies by assisting in the development and planning of intelligence-led operations.
This role primarily based at the Statewide Services Building in Ravenhall or 50 Franklin Street Melbourne, with a requirement for statewide travel to Community Youth Justice locations across Justice Service Centres.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and information management systems.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or thematic knowledge (desirable).
* Australian citizenship and existing Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance, otherwise one must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), otherwise one must be obtained prior to employment commencing.
* Current Australian driver's licence.
