Great opportunity to work with a market leading main contractor on a prestigious project. Candidate can be a Contract Administrator a Senior Contract Administrator or a head contractors Quantity Surveyor.
Our client is an established, award winning leader in the construction industry and a Tier one firm who are known for their high quality practices. They are now seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator or Senior Contracts Administrator to work on a landmark prestigious and exciting project.
Experience on large scale new build jobs $50m to $100m+ would be desirable as well as having a strong commercial base knowledge ideally working in a Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 professional environment.
You will be responsible for the management and administration of contracts throughout the project life cycle. This will include head contract variations, subcontractor payments, day to day contract management of the subcontracts through to final account and working on cost reports with the team. In addition, you will ensure that the high quality and profitability of the projects are maintained while financial and contractual risks are minimised.
Candidates can be either a Senior CA or Contracts Administrator or be a head contractors Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Managing all facets of the subcontract process
- Processing variations
- Negotiate and review subcontract tenders including preparation of tender comparison for review
- Prepare, check and review subcontract packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules
- Monitor subcontractors to ensure they are adhering to environmental commitments and responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate payment schedules
- Understand and manage subcontractor contractual risk
- Process progress claims, delay claims and external variations according to contractual obligations
- Preparation of project budgets for review and provide accurate rolling final account forecasts
- Assist in the preparation and administration of project completion and inspection test plans
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar
- Minimum 5 -15+ experience within the construction industry – a tier 1, 2 or 3 background would be ideal
- Construction Safety Induction (White) card
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong financial analysis and administrative focus
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
