Job Title Senior Project Manager – ICT Network & Infrastructure (Defence)
Rates $1180 - $1280 daily
The Opportunity
This is a genuinely high-impact delivery role within a Defence capability environment.
We are seeking a senior Project Manager (PRMG Level 6 equivalent) to lead the delivery of a network replacement program, transitioning from legacy infrastructure to a modern capability within a secure environment.
This is not a reporting PM role.
You will take full ownership of delivery outcomes, working across technical, security, and service delivery domains, managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and risks in a highly governed environment.
If you’ve delivered complex ICT or infrastructure programs in Defence or similarly regulated environments, this is the kind of role that will stretch you.
Key Responsibilities
* Own end-to-end delivery across scope, schedule, cost, and performance
* Lead planning, execution, and governance of complex ICT initiatives
* Manage full lifecycle delivery (build, transition, sustainment, decommissioning)
* Coordinate multiple technical, security, and vendor workstreams
* Drive risk, issue, and dependency management
* Make delivery decisions and manage trade-offs to maintain momentum
* Engage and advise senior stakeholders and executives
* Control budgets, reporting, and delivery assurance
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience delivering large-scale ICT or infrastructure programs end-to-end
* Experience operating in Defence or security-constrained environments
* Strong experience managing multiple workstreams and external providers
* Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
* Advanced capability in risk, governance, and financial management
Highly Regarded
* Network, infrastructure, or platform modernisation programs
* Cloud or hybrid environments (AWS)
* System transition, migration, or decommissioning
* PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent
Security Requirement
* Australian Citizenship is mandatory
* Minimum NV1 clearance required
* Candidates without this will not be considered
