About the opportunity

Join the Mercy Mental Health Learning & Development Team as an Allied Health Educator (OT / SW), to lead Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program, work as a team to design and deliver educational activities to program wide workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers and Occupational Therapists interested in joining Mental Health education space.

Key role in coordination, design, facilitation and evaluation of the Allied Health graduate Program and Allied Health Undergraduate Program
Contributes and support the design, delivery and evaluation of professional development activities to wider workforce as part of Mercy Mental Health Program Learning & Development Team

What you'll bring

As an Allied Health Educator, you bring a strong commitment to supporting teaching and developing AH graduates and undergraduates, and other AH clinicians.

You are dedicated to fostering a learning environment that is both compassionate and recovery-focused prioritizing consumer-centered care at every opportunity.

About you:

An approved degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist or
An approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
Extensive experience and expertise in mental health service delivery Demonstrated clinical leadership skills with the ability to provide direct support, supervision and mentorship that promotes professional growth of AH clinicians
Experienced in providing clinical supervision and facilitating reflective practice
A current Victorian Driver's license and ability to drive a work vehicle
Desirable: Post registration qualification in education - Cert IV in Training and Assessment

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Excellent clinical, time management, organisational, prioritization and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Experience in facilitating clinical supervision, reflective practice, completing skills assessments, developing learning objectives with clinicians

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
