Job Title: Senior Science Program Coordinator
The Two-way Science Initiative is a groundbreaking approach to teaching and learning, combining the Western Australian Science Curriculum with Aboriginal knowledges. This program enables schools to build strong partnerships with local Aboriginal communities, creating culturally responsive learning programs that benefit students.
This key role involves planning and coordinating activities with Ranger Groups, community groups, and school curriculum teams to develop integrated school-based Two-way Science programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ongoing development and implementation of the Department's Two-way Science Initiative, supporting schools in building positive relationships with parents/carers and local Aboriginal communities.
A deep understanding of Kimberley Aboriginal communities and the ability to build effective working relationships with Aboriginal school communities and other key stakeholders is crucial for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and address challenges in the initiative's delivery
* Provide expert advice and guidance
* Oversee risk management to ensure safe and effective implementation of the program
