About the role
As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients in a high quality specialist setting - not a GP or retail environment. Working with a close knit administration team, you will collaborate daily with ophthalmologists and clinical staff to care for patients and keep the clinic running smoothly.
This is not a retail‑style reception role—attention to detail, calm communication, and a high level of professionalism are essential.
This role is rostered from Monday to Friday.
Duties
* Greet patients and manage check ins, appointments, invoicing and payments
* Respond to phone and in-person enquiries with professionalism and empathy
* Maintain accurate patient records in Genie, the patient management system
* Coordinate clinic flow and support doctors and clinical staff
* Liaise with optometrists and external healthcare providers
* Assisting with general administrative tasks as directed by the Clinic Director
Skills and Experience
* Experience in a specialist or surgical medical practice is preferred
* Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, organised approach under pressure
* High attention to detail and accuracy with patient administration
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Experience with Genie patient management system (highly regarded but not essential)
* A current (or willing to obtain) National Police Check
