Job Summary:
We are looking for reliable and physically fit workers to join our team for the upcoming sugar cane harvest season in the Tolga region. This is a casual, seasonal role expected to begin between July and August 2025, with a duration of 6 to 9 months. The work involves outdoor, hands-on labour and is ideal for those seeking seasonal farm employment in a regional setting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Assisting with the sugar cane harvesting process, including cutting and processing
Loading, unloading, and transporting harvested sugar cane
Operating basic farm machinery and equipment (training provided)
Assisting with farm maintenance tasks such as irrigation and crop care
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with farm guidelines
General farm duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas
Requirements:
Physically fit for repetitive manual labour and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and extended hours during peak season
Previous farm or sugar cane harvesting experience is helpful but not essential
Own transport preferred due to limited public transport options in the region
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Availability to commit to a casual, seasonal role from July-August 2025 through the end of the harvest season
Start Date: July - August 2025 (exact start date to be confirmed)
End Date: Estimated end of work in early 2026 (depending on the harvest duration)
Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime during peak harvest periods
