Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant for a new position working primarily in Perth with some site travel to Karratha.
In this role, your responsibilities will include
* Prepare budgets and forecasts to support effective financial planning.
* Analyse costs, variances, and trends to identify opportunities for efficiency and savings.
* Produce detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements, for internal stakeholders.
* Monitor and evaluate financial performance against budgets and project goals.
* Investigate and explain variances between actual and forecasted results.
* Provide data-driven insights to assist in strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
* Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
* Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial guidance and support.

What will set you up for success
* Strong proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and day-to-day transactional activities.
* Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles and practices.
* Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Proficiency with financial software and tools, such as ERP systems (Dynamics 365, WIISE and Xero a plus)
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
* Professional accounting qualifications, such as CPA or CA are an advantage
* Experience in the mining or construction industry in a similar role is a plus
* Inter-Entity transactions and balances highly regarded
