We are seeking a Behavioural Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space, and will be able to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework.
* Assist NDIS participants and their families/carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning
* Evaluate, develop and deliver support plans within a complex support space
* Develop goals and strategies using a positive behaviour support framework
* Build the knowledge and capacity of those supporting NDIS participants
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will be expected to provide high-quality support to vulnerable members of the community, acting as an advocate and role model.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require current suitability at the Core or Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, report writing experience, and experience in mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
