Senior Leadership Role
The Senior Director Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment plays a pivotal leadership role in supporting public schools with the implementation of system-wide approaches to curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
Working under strategic direction, the Senior Director leads a team responsible for strengthening high-quality teaching and learning practices across schools.
This involves translating system reforms, programs, and deliverables into practical school-focused implementation strategies. The Senior Director works closely with school leaders, teachers, and education stakeholders to build teacher capability, strengthen assessment literacy, and enhance student outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing system-wide approaches to curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment
* Leading a team to contribute to system improvement efforts
* Collaborating with school leaders, teachers, and education stakeholders to achieve improved student outcomes
Eligibility/Other requirements
Mandatory qualifications include:
* A recognised school teaching qualification
* Current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)
* Registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011
Significant teaching experience and expertise P-12 are also essential.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension up to two years.
