The Role
We're currently seeking experienced professionals to support our client on critical projects within their Engineering, Technical and Materiel Logistics (ETML) organisation. The role requires a senior SAP Engineering and Asset Management (EAM) Specialist who can support operational outcomes by providing subject matter expertise across the EAM module of the Enterprise Resource Planning environment.
You will be required to operate as a trusted advisor to ETML stakeholders, delivering pragmatic, scalable solutions to support the ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities
* Support SAP master data management activities across EAM and related modules, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance.
* Provide subject matter expertise across the EAM modules of the SAP S/4HANA system
* Support data migration, transformation, and ETL activities using available tools within the environment.
* Apply structured data governance principles to improve asset, maintenance, and engineering data quality.
* Support Asset Management frameworks, including alignment to ISO 55000 principles.
* Provide expertise in maintenance and engineering business processes.
* Support operational readiness through accurate asset hierarchies, maintenance plans, task lists, and BOM structures.
* Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) activities where required.
* Engage with ETML business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into SAP-enablement solutions.
* Lead or support process mapping, process improvement, and change management activities.
* Support ETML ERP leadership with data insights to assist with informed decision making around issue resolution and solution design.
* Work collaboratively across multi‐disciplinary teams to deliver agreed outcomes within schedule and priority constraints.
* Support colleagues and contribute positively to team culture, knowledge sharing, and collective success.
Essential Criteria
* Extensive experience in SAP ERP environments, ideally within Defence or asset‐intensive industries.
* Strong expertise in SAP EAM master data structures.
* Proven experience in data management, ETL processes, and data governance.
* Demonstrated understanding of maintenance and engineering business processes.
* Proven business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation and solution design.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Ability to operate effectively in secure, regulated environments.
Desirable Criteria
* Prior experience supporting the DERP program or Defence SAP data structures.
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation or sustainment.
* Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement qualification.
* Understanding of the data structures of any of the following extant Defence systems would be useful: CAM2, Emerald and/or ADAASS.
Highly Desirable
* Preference for exposure to Supply Chain Management, Commercial & Procurement modules in S/4HANA.
* Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work closely with a diverse team of varying skills to deliver against the outcomes required.
