About the Role
We're currently looking for motivated Electrical Fitters / Switchboard Electrician's to join the growing team at GEM Switchboards.
Based in our workshop in Warner's Bay or West Gosford, this role involves building and wiring custom low voltage switchboards for commercial and industrial projects. You'll be part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment working with an experienced team that values quality, reliability, and teamwork.
This is a factory-based position only — no onsite installation work required.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Wiring and fitting electrical switchboards
* Installing electrical components and equipment
* Reading and working from technical drawings and layouts
* Busbar assembly and control wiring
* Testing completed boards prior to dispatch
* Assisting with production deadlines and workflow
* Maintaining workshop cleanliness and safe work practices
What we are looking for
* Electrical trade qualification or relevant industry experience
* Previous switchboard manufacturing experience preferred
* Confidence reading electrical schematics and layouts
* Good hand skills and experience with workshop tools
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and within a team
