This is a Permanent Full Time, Fixed Term Full Time appointment at up to 80 hrs per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Part Time appointments may be considered.

An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Burringurrah Nursing post – Midwest.

Living in Burringurrah, Western Australia, means being part of a remote yet resilient Aboriginal community nestled near Mount Augustus, the world's largest rock. Home to around 200 people, Burringurrah is rich in cultural heritage and deeply connected to the land. Life here is shaped by community spirit, traditional practices, and a strong focus on education. It's a place of strength, tradition, and quiet beauty. Burringurah is approx. 450 kilometres from Carnarvon and 996 kilometres from Perth.

Qualifications

* Demonstrated extensive clinical experience including assessment skills, emergency management skills, clinical problem solving and understanding of chronic disease management.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of primary health care principles and programs.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including problem solving and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated understanding and commitment to cultural safety and Indigenous health issues.
* Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Position Profile: Responsible for the provision and coordination of primary health care to the Burringurrah community in a culturally secure environment. Includes the provision of Nursing Services encompassing emergency care, chronic disease management, and supporting child health, immunisation, health promotion, and education.
