We are seeking an experienced Mine‐Site Electrician who can support our processing team and maintain processing and non‐process infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small, multi‐skilled team and make a valuable contribution to our operation 130km from Mt Isa.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Processing Supervisor you will maintain the phosphate wash plant and the crushing circuit in line with production schedules. This is a day shift only role, but you will provide on‐call coverage overnight. The role includes:
Perform roving duties to monitor plant performance and perform fault‐finding, diagnosis and breakdown maintenance.
Conduct planned maintenance and operational inspections and services, including plant and crusher shutdowns.
Troubleshooting generator issues and assist specialist service contractor with maintenance.
Learn the operation of the wash plant, crusher and auxiliary equipment so that you can fill in during absences, breaks and peak workloads.
Operate mobile plant related to the operation of the crushing circuit or the wash plant (such as front‐end loader).
Carry out repairs to our accommodation village, offices and site services.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of all areas of the plants and non‐process infrastructure.
Skills and Experience
Experience in the operation and maintenance of a processing plant including Impact crushers, Vibrating Screens, Conveyors and Pumps.
Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques.
Thorough experience in testing and fault finding.
Experience in electrical audits and inspections.
Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications.
Experience and qualifications in the operation of related mobile equipment will be an advantage, such as Front End Loader, Skid Steer, Elevated Work Platform, Non‐Slewing Crane, Telehandler. (This is a multi‐skilled role, so you must be willing to undergo training and assessment on these machines if you do not hold tickets).
First Aid / CPR training.
Experience and comfortable working in remote location on FIFO roster.

8/6 roster – FIFO from Townsville, Cairns, or Brisbane or DIDO from Mount Isa to our small village in Dajarra.
