The work site
Positioned atop a significant granite deposit, this unique operation is located around 50 minutes south east of Perth and employs around 30 permanent employees. This well-established historic operation offers:
* Monday-Friday position (day shift only - 6.00am-5.00pm - with some flexibility on finishing times)
* Work closely with an overall team of 30, with 5 in the fixed plan maintenance team
* Work on a large diverse fixed plan operation that diverse and will allow you to grow your skills
* Long-term, ongoing work with full job security.

The role
Reporting to the leading hand and maintenance manager, you\'ll enjoy a varied role as part of the fixed plant mechanical division. You\'ll be responsible for the preventative maintenance, shutdown and general repair of the hard rock processing plant.
* Preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics and major component change outs of a variety of conveyors, screens, and crushers.
* Weekly/ fortnightly shutdowns on the machinery.
* Opportunity to upskill and obtain supervisor accreditation so you can work on the plant on call outs and breakdowns on the weekend (not compulsory)
Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate will come from a fixed plant mechanical background and have experience working on mining conveyors, crushers and screens. However, if you come from a mechanical fitting background with some process plant experience along with a good attitude and willingness to learn, you\'re application will still be reviewing positively.
* Mechanical fitting trade qualifications.
* An excellent attitude towards work and desire to work within the quarrying industry.
* Ability to work on a wide range of skills and duties on fix plan process equipment
* Ability to work unsupervised and in a close-knit team environment.
* A team player that holds work culture in high regard.
Contract and salary
Marble is partnered with this quarrying company to supply long term permanent employees to the site. The opportunity exists to join the company as a permanent employee from day 1.
* Long term position with full job security. Annual leave and sick days paid.
* $48.45ph + super + overtime hours worked every day
* Based on 11 hours per day Monday to Friday the salary for this role is approximately $155,000 + super
