About the Role
This is a permanent full-time position that involves working 9 day fortnights and one Saturday per fortnight. As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in a rural setting. Your expertise will include diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, ordering tests and referrals, prescribing medications, and providing health advice.
The practice is located in Gatton, which is a rural town situated in the Lockyer Valley. The community is multicultural and diverse, with a mix of farm workers, students, and families. As a General Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work with patients from different backgrounds and cultures.
The practice offers a supportive work environment, with a team of experienced doctors, nurses, and support staff. You will have access to modern equipment and facilities, including a pathology lab on site.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP or equivalent)
* Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Strong clinical skills and experience in managing a range of medical conditions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
