About the Role
We are seeking a Payroll Officer on full time basis to join our team located at our Kwinana Pigment Plant, approx. 35 minutes south of Perth.
This position will be permanent, full time, working a 38-hour week compressed into a 9-day fortnight, every second Friday off Enjoy flexible start and finish times that best suit you.
As our Payroll Officer you will report to the Payroll Supervisor and your key responsibilities will include:
Managing complex individual Payroll queries which require initiative, organisation, and independent judgment to solve problems;
Assisting with policy development and the management of all payroll related functions to ensure proper set-up, processing, and generation of the company payroll;
Updating payroll policy and setting up & processing payroll data;
Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements;
Ensuring that the computing, withholding, and calculating of deductions associated with net pay is done properly, including federal and state taxes, insurances, as well as direct deposits
About You
As a successful candidate for this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in a busy payroll team with a strong focus on accuracy;
Prior experience with Dayforce (highly advantageous)
Prior experience with SAP (Success Factors) (highly advantageous)
Strong interpersonal & communication skills;
A strong and proven focus on internal and external customer service;
Intermediate Excel skills with previous experience producing payroll reports; and
Strong problem solving skills to investigate anomalies, issues and analyse data.
