The Family Peer Worker supports the families, carers and friends of people dependent on AOD drawing on their knowledge and lived experience as a support person.
This part time role is based in Singleton.This role will allow you to:Bring your lived and living experience of supporting loved ones dependent on AOD as a foundation to support othersLeverage your lived experience to connect meaningfully with individuals and families, helping them navigate the complexities of the services and systems requiredOffer true empathy and understanding, helping individuals and their families build on their strengths and resilienceBring a real 'knowing' of what people may require, offering insight and connection through your lived experience and the collective experience of carers.Be a part of team that is as diverse as the vibrant communities it supports.Job DescriptionThis role is a fantastic chance to be part of meaningful work that makes a significant difference in people's lives.
