As the restaurant and function team leader, you will be responsible for the efficient running of one of Monash University's most prestigious Monash Club. Managing multiple event spaces, including conference rooms, a private dining room, and an a la carte restaurant. This is a hands on role and you will be right there with all of out clients'
You will work closely with both the Monash Club Supervisor and venue staff to ensure that our clients' expectations are exceeded at all times in terms of customer service, as well as setting an exemplary example as a senior member of staff.
Skills and experience desired:
- Two years experience in a similar role including a la carte or corporate catering
- Ability to supervise discounts, end-of-day close, cash handling
- Ability to increase sales and establish return business to ensure continued business growth
- Multitask and handle multiple service areas
- Create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of personal, staff, and venue presentation
- Diverse experience in planning and executing a variety of events from small celebrations to large-scale events
- Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients
- Astute attention to detail in all areas
- Exceptionally high standards and a strong work ethic and a passion for continuous improvement
- RSA required
This position is a casual role with the hours being what is required for the week. We are open Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with the exception of when a night function is booked so you will need to be flexible to work shifts depending on what we have booked in.
