Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled WHS Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. This role is pivotal in driving our WHS strategy and embedding a proactive safety culture across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of our WHS management strategy, systems and standards of safety
* Maintain a visible WHS leadership presence across operations and offices
* Provide expert WHS advice and coaching to internal and external stakeholders
* Support the identification and management of WHS risks, with a focus on Acute High Risk Activities (AHRA)
* Guide incident management processes including facilitating incident investigations for the most serious incidents and ensure lessons learned are shared and acted upon
* Facilitate learning programs including a high impact frontline leader program and contribute to WHS data reporting and analysis
* Implement health and wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams
Requirements
* A minimum Diploma qualification or Degree in WHS, Risk, Environmental Management, Science or a related technical discipline
* An established career in WHS, ideally within construction, asset management or both
* Experience or exposure in high-risk industries such as infrastructure, coal, mining, gas or energy
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice management systems
* Familiarity with WHS systems, assurance processes and investigation methodologies, including experience managing critical incidents
