Description
Join our team within the Coffs Clinical Network on the NSW Mid North Coast. Reporting to the Director Medical Services, you'll provide contemporary, comprehensive specialist geriatric services to support optimal patient outcomes across the network.
This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to high-quality care for older people within a regional health service that values multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
* inpatient and consultative services
* development of detailed treatment plans
* active participation in clinical governance and quality improvement activities
* provide Capacity Assessments across the Coffs Clinical Network
* participate in teaching and training across undergraduate and postgraduate medical education as well as nursing and allied health (education and mentorship form a key part of the position)
* ensure safe supervision and foster ongoing professional development
* participate in the General Medicine on-call roster at Coffs Harbour Health Campus (shared equally with other Physicians)
Qualifications
* eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Geriatrician
* experience relevant to regional hospital practice
* demonstrated strong communication skills
* commitment to evidence-based practice
* ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
* clear commitment to quality improvement, peer review and continuing professional development
