The role
CDA Newcastle is seeking a self-driven all-rounder to assist in leading our team to deliver productive and exceptional customer service.
As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager and be involved in all aspects of running the business.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Working closely with our external and internal sales team to assist in providing exceptional service to our customers.
Building valued and successful working relationships with key customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Providing leadership and training to create a positive workplace culture
Jumping in to assist our warehouse team where required to meet our internal and customer delivery standards

As an associated entity of the Synergy Construction & Industrial Supply Group, we are part of a network of over 20 company-owned stores plus member stores and continue to grow.
What you'll need to succeed
Trade and/or counter sales experience in the wholesale trade industry, preferably construction, but not a must
Engaging and proactive team-player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The desire and drive for a long-term career
The ability to work both autonomously and within a tight-knit team
A willingness to pitch in across all areas of the business
Strong attention to detail and business acumen
Current driver's licence - class c minimum
