Job details Financial Data Analysts are responsible for the design, analysis and delivery of relevant, trusted and objective statistics and data-related insights. They manage, coordinate and respond to the finance requests and organisational Directives at the Branch and Division level ensuring alignment between a Project Office and the wider organisational Program/Portfolio and Finance functions. Some duties and responsibilities Provide technical expertise that contribute to business unit outcomes. Have sound understanding of the impact of the work area on longer-term strategic, political or operational outcomes for the agency/program. Work independently or under limited guidance nominated supervisor. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive customer outcomes. Support programs with financial management and procurement activities including resource and budget planning. Track financial progress of projects by conducting monthly reviews of financial expenditure, budget reporting, forecasting analysis including accrual reporting. Create reports, modelling, and trend forecasting including financial reporting. Conduct statistical and financial modelling, including project accounting & cost estimation.
