Wildlife Management Specialist Role
The Wildlife Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in the effective management and welfare of wildlife within our community.

As a Wildlife Management Specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Delivering a range of wildlife management services, including emergency response plans and animal control measures.
* Promoting responsible animal ownership and wildlife welfare through education and outreach programs.
* Investigating breaches of legislation, issuing warnings and fines, collecting evidence, and preparing reports for legal proceedings.
* Handling and capturing wild animals, protecting the community and environment from nuisance or invasive species.
* Assisting with the operation of the local animal shelter.
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Best-practice animal handling skills or the ability and willingness to learn.
* Sound judgement and decision-making skills in law enforcement activities.
* Excellent customer service and community education skills.
Desirable qualifications include experience or certifications in wildlife management, animal welfare, veterinary services, law enforcement, or community education.
