With the increasing complexity of IT environments and the growth of remote workforces, maintaining accurate and efficient asset data has become more critical than ever. We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join Computacenter Malaysia.
This role will be based at the customer's site, supporting customer's operations related locations. The selected candidate will play a key role to support our customer in ensuring asset data integrity within ServiceNow, enhancing audit readiness, automating processes, and supporting better planning and operational decisions.
Main Responsibilities
Data Management & Integrity
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in ServiceNow
* Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of asset data
* Monitor the full asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal
* Resolve discrepancies between system records and physical assets
Reporting & Analytics
* Build dashboards and generate reports on asset inventory and lifecycle status
* Provide insights to support procurement decisions, cost control, and risk mitigation
* Deliver clear, actionable data outputs for operational and compliance reviews
Automation & Optimization
* Utilize automation tools in ServiceNow to enhance data accuracy and efficiency
* Reduce manual data entry through integration and process improvements
* Collaborate with ServiceNow teams and service owners to optimize data flow
Process Review & Governance
* Continuously review and enhance asset management workflows
* Implement best practices in asset lifecycle management and compliance
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure process alignment and data governance
Asset Compliance & Documentation
* Ensure all assets are properly documented, managed, and disposed in line with company policies and regulatory standards
* Support audit readiness by maintaining consistent and accurate records
Education
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
* Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, ideally within IT asset management or a related IT discipline
* Experience working in a BPO or shared services environment will be an added advantage
Technical & Functional Skills:
* Proficiency with ServiceNow or equivalent asset management platforms (ITAM module is a plus)
* Strong experience in data analysis tool (i.e., Excel, Tableau, or Power BI)
* Familiarity with IT compliance requirements and asset lifecycle practices
* Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with global and cross-functional teams
* Experience with automation or scripting tools is a plus
Preferred Certifications:
* ITIL Foundation (or equivalent ITSM certification)
* ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Asset Management (or experience with similar asset management platforms)
* Data analysis certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate/ Tableau/ Power BI)
