About the Role
Service Stream’s Corporate division are currently seeking a Jams Web Developer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Applications Manager you will be working within the JAMS (Job and Asset Management System) system. The primary duties will involve the building of new components and upgrading of existing components of the JAMS Web application. The JAMS system is an in-house software system that is used throughout Service Stream to manage their maintenance contracts and to enhance efficiency and productivity. The solution offers tools for work order management, resource and inventory management, asset management, cost control, field mobility, GIS/mapping etc. Nature of position: Permanent, Full time Location: Melbourne, VIC Reporting Line: Applications Manager Responsibilities:
1. Scoping requirements of business needs will be required.
2. Producing clear documentation of requirements and solutions.
3. Liaise and with the Application Manager to review proposed development.
4. Project manage the delivery of your solutions.
5. Report progress to the Business and Application Manager through JAMS tools and JIRA.
6. Note, an agile and progressive/iterative approach is used and will require constant communication with the business.
7. To learn, adopt and use the standard development and testing techniques, conventions, patterns etc used in JAMS.
8. To produce timely and good quality work that satisfies the business overall.
9. Produce technical documentation, user documentation and conduct training as required.
10. On completion of any work to provide BAU support to the business including triaging of issues, implementing fixes/tweaks, modifications or improvements.
11. The scale of the above can range from hours to weeks
12. Continually look at opportunities to improve operational processes and solutions as a key member of the business.
13. Some occasional local and interstate travel may be necessary.
About You:
14. A university degree is not essential, however some tertiary qualification(s) would be preferred
15. A good all-round knowledge of technical applications, especially those relevant to web
16. A high level in the core competencies of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Chrome DevTools, npm and Git
17. A high level of proficiency in building ReactJS components, at least 2 years
18. A good understanding and experience with AngularJS
19. A good understanding and some experience using SQL, preferably MS SQL Server
20. Prior experience working in Telecommunication, Gas, Electricity and Water Utilities industry domains is preferred
21. Knowledge of work management systems is highly desirable
22. Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
23. Good written and verbal communication skills
