We currently have a full-time opportunity for aClinical Quality Specialist to join our clinical governance team, reporting to our General Manager Care & Services.
This role will predominantly support our aged care homes in Port Kennedy, Rockingham and Mandurah but may also require occasional travel to our other locations.
- Mon - Fri, full time hours
- 5 weeks annual leave per annum
- Opportunity for occasional WFH
About The Role
The Clinical Quality Specialist works collaboratively with site / service management and clinical staff to assess the quality of clinical practice being provided and support clinical continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supporting operational management by identifying clinical areas of priority through auditing and review of clinical trends.
- Providing clinical quality and safety support to Site Management by clarifying areas for improvement and helping to prioritise areas of challenge in clinical practice.
- Active involvement in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives utilising mentoring in nominated clinical priority areas
- Maintain a safe environment, exhibiting personal safety behaviours and inspiring others to do the same
About You
You're passionate about working collaboratively with other health professionals to improve care outcomes and bring excellent clinical and broader aged care knowledge. In addition to a current, unrestricted AHPRA registration you will have:
- Strong clinical background in aged care
- Working knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A sound understanding and commitment to the person-centred approach in aged care
- Good understanding of evidence-based practice and critical reasoningCultural competence and ability to engender trust and confidence in others
Additional Desirable Experience
- Specialist knowledge in a clinical priority area
- Experience in carrying out Root Cause Analysis investigations
- Knowledge of continuous improvement strategies, mentoring principles, research methods, critiquing of evidence and knowledge.
